World powers meeting in Vienna to resolve the Syria crisis have failed to set a new date to resume the talks. Expectations were low for negotiations between countries supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and those who want him to step down.
Diplomats have been trying to convince Syria's warring factions to agree to a comprehensive cease fire and set terms for a lasting peace. However, opposition forces say they won't sit down and negotiate with the Syrian government unless conditions improve on the ground.
