Global powers will continue peace talks in Vienna aimed at ending the conflict in Syria. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said before the reopening of the talks that China will continue to make constructive efforts towards the Syria crisis.
Wang was speaking during a joint press conference with his visiting French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault in Beijing Monday. He said that China has been attending International Syria Support Group activities and offering suggestions upon crucial junctures.
Wang said China has been in contact with the Syrian government and the opposition groups. Moreover, China has extended humanitarian support to Syrian refugees and will continue to do so.
