英伦广角 2012-07-28 贝克汉姆拜访英首相 呼吁解决儿童营养不良
We all remember people on another parts of the world who are fortunately excited about the Olympics but actually worried about the next meal when they’re gaining after eat. Would you have had a huge reminder 1 with the poorer families in the Horn of African last year about the problems of hunger in our world that means it’s absolutely right that Britain uses its chance as the Olympics host to hold a hunger summit, which we are going to do on the last Sunday of the Olympics. We are going to have other world leaders who will be here, other NGOs organizations to challenge the world to tackle the problems of undue 2 nutrition, malnutrition 3, hunger and stunted 4 growth which are known as buckles 5 of full close to at the heart of Unicef. So some relatives to welcome Mr. David to thank you for the pressure you’re putting on this event. Britain I think has a fantastic role to play in this through one of the countries will meet to our targets in times of being aged 6. We’ve spent, we’ve spent a lot of money on it well and wisely. And I think it difference as well as respect to what he does and obviously bringing in countries together on that Sunday for that summit. But we’re looking world barriers could be involved. Well after these events that could be successfully, and I think really put the eyes to the world while we are having a great Olympics here, let’s remember those who don’t have enough to eat and all the consequences that have. David, have you more?
Yeah. Thank you very much I think it’s you know obviously honored to be part of Unicef and be here today voices our opinions among the trip that’s so important, you know, while the eyes of the world are on our country, you know like to say it’s important not to forget the really important issues are happening around the world. I have seen that first hand going to Sierra Leone. I’ve seen malnutrition problems to go on there and the rest of the world as well. Being a father, I know, you know that very well, you know how important those first few days of children’s lives are. It’s so important to get them the right nutrients 7 and you know to help their growth. It is once I don’t get those right nutrients, it’s a subsequently growth, it is subsequent to them. I’m lucky to say we know how important I think so.
I mean you can get that time back.
