简 介
The wannadies 是一个瑞典乐队,不同于这两年很火的 young sound of sweden 的系列乐队,这只乐队开始的比较早,他们算是 swedish pop 的重要乐队之一吧. 乐队于1988年成立于瑞典的Skelleftea, 乐队成员是在一个叫 Musikfabriken (music factory的意思)的音乐俱乐部里互相认识的. 当时该俱乐部里经常有来自世界各地的著名乐队演出, the cult 1 , the cure , joy division , Sex pistols 2, Kraftwerk.等等. 而乐队成员们是在一次观看 sister of mercy 的演出时,在pogo中粗略的讨论了关于组建乐队的想法. 不久后在当地的一次音乐节上,乐队成员第一次上台完成了一次玩票性质的演出,并且给乐队起名 the wannadies。
1990年他们发表了第一张正式专集 " the wannadies" , 接下来的一年中,乐队的消息开始出现在北欧各国的音乐电视节目上。 94年夏天在新的制作人的帮助下,乐队将原本要做为 b-sides 的许多歌曲录制完成并在秋天的时候发行了该专集 be a girl 。 这一次乐队引起了更多的注意,95年夏天,英国厂牌 Indolent 和乐队签约,由于频繁的和英国方面合作,最终导致乐队和 snap 3 records 破裂,直到1997年才有了足够的精力和时间从官司里脱身出来完成新专集的录制,发行了bagsy me ,随后英国方面又帮乐队发行了大量的tracks,一直拖到1999年乐队才发行了真正意义上的新专集 yeah , 但是这张专集让许多人认为是乐队改变原来风格所做的尝试,并没有得到太多好评。直到2002年乐队放行了这张 before and after 才被认为是 the wannadies 式的indie rock 的回归。
