As England’s fans nervously 1 keep their fingers crossed ahead of tomorrow’s game, retailers 3 are also hoping for good results, because the better England do in the World Cup, the more cash we'll spend. Well, it’s like another Christmas, the mini Christmas. People look forward to it. They get the TV, they always wanted to have another, the good excuse gotten to get a new TV, and boost up market. Food, friends and drink, they all benefit.

England is making it the second round as thought to have boosted retail 2 sales by 987 millions pounds. So now every goal scored by Fabio's squad 4 will bring in an estimated 126 million pounds to UK retailers. And if they get through to the finals, it will be worth 2.1 billion pounds in sales. And it’s not just retailers, but makers 5, bars, pubs and restaurants are also cashing in. So with all the money we’re spending on food and drink it's inevitably 6 taking a toll 7 on our waistlines.

One survey found that for each match man consume an extra five and a half thousand calories, that’s equivalent to 8 pounds of beer, and all this food, or two and half lumps of lard.

Along with the calories that are on the health risks, like drinking too much beer and the stress of watching the match.

I think what people don’t really get to grip with is the amount of alcohol that is consumed there with four weeks of the World Cup which is quite staggering really, and also the number of calories that the average person will eat whilst watching the World Cup. And unfortunately these calories will be turned to be things like pizzas, crisps, all those unhealthy things; and so that, the fact that people can get very worked up about the results, specifically when their side is playing the game, and this is actually being shown in research that experts come up with to contribute towards the increasing things like heart attacks.

So it’s one day to go before the next game, what’ve people been buying.

Buy for a home and white shirts, alcohol of one of those flavors and other things very day, and also a lot of beer to buy…..

Buckles 8, cobalps, and flag, a hat, T-shirt, face paint.

Um, balloons and flags, and everything in my house is just lovely, really lovely, you know, and we spend so much money, you know, on drink and now watching the Orleans; it’s been brilliant.

All they need now is for England to get the right results.
