In just 5 years, 21th century archaeology 1 has achieved what the conventional excavation 2 would have taken a life time to complete, revealing a picture of Stoneghenge and its people as never before. Recent times have seen an intense level of activity around the world’s most famous prehistoric 3 site. To solve the mysteries of the monument, the scientists have been using a novel strategy, not just focusing on the iconic Stones, they also investigated the wider landscape in which they set. There is Stonghenge. If you visit it, you don’t always get the sense of the enormity of the landscape. It’s only when you get above, you get away from it, you can really get a sense of how have the things pieced together. And really that’s the heart of the whole projects, which are the look of wide picture. To understand the Stonehenge, we have to look at the entire landscape both spaciously 4 but also through time.
