For centuries we worshiped their life-giving waters, and fear their awesome 2 destructive powers. On these epic 3 journeys, I will meet some extraordinary characters. I will experience the very different cultures, religions and countries that have emerged along our sacred rivers. in this episode, I will be travelling two thousand miles along the legendary 4 Yangtze River, Asia's longest river, from the far west China to Shanghai where it flows into the sea. For decades the Chinese communism leaders tried to eradicate 5 religious beliefs and ancient philosophies. But Chinese changed, and this journey is a chance for me to learn more about what people here now actually think and believe.
