In Washington, Secretary of State John Foster Dollas, for shadows American’s long and costly 6 involvement in Vietnam during the next two decades. 1840Composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, whose ballets include “Swan Lake”, “Sleepy Beauty” and “The Nutcracker”, is born in Russia.
