September 23rd, 1952Future President Richard Nixon uses what’s then the new medium of television to make his case. Nixon at the time the Republican 1 candidate for vice 2 president denies charges that use a secret campaign fund for his personal expenses. Instead Nixon says the only gift he’d accepted was the family dog, whom his daughters named checkers.
