Newly released figures show China's outbound direct investment surged 22 percent year-on-year to nearly $70 billion U.S. dollars last year, recording 1 growth for the ninth straight year.
The commerce ministry 2 says China's 2010 outbound direct investment accounted for 5.2 percent of global capital flows and exceeded that of both Japan and the United Kingdom for the first time.
