A trough across the Top End is causing thundery showers with another trough bringing light rain and storms to northern and central WA. Cool, southwesterly winds are bringing light rain to Victoria and Tasmania.
Mostly dry and warm in Queensland. Isolated 1 showers and storms around the gulf 2 country.
Early frosts in southern and centrals New South Wales and the ACT, a sunny day throughout.
A few isolated showers near coastal 3 Victoria will extend through southern parts to the mountains areas by the afternoon.
Showers in western and southern Tasmania will ease later in the day. Early snow to around 700 metres. A cool day throughout with fresh west to southwesterly winds.
Early frosts in eastern parts of South Australia with the chance of patchy light rain will develop over the peninsula areas.
In WA, showers and thunderstorms are possible from the Kimberly Coast through to the Golden Fields. Morning drizzle 4 in the far south coast,west of Esperance.
Isolated showers and gusty 5 storms developing in the Top End late this afternoon.
