A trough is extending from WA to northern New South Wales, generating showers and thunderstorms. A cold front and a trough crossing the southeast is producing showers, storms and powerful winds in Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia.

Patchy rain and isolated 1 thunderstorms for most of Queensland. Isolated thunderstorms developing again in the afternoon.
For New South Wales, isolated showers inland with the chance of early thunder. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere.
Isolated thunderstorms and small hail possible near the Victorian coast in the morning and early afternoon. Showers above the northwest of Tasmania with possible morning thunderstorms and gusty 2 periods. Snowfalls to around 1,000 metres.
In South Australia, isolated showers and cooler temperatures in the south, grating to warm in the north.
For WA, isolated showers near the south coast, south of Perth, and over the southwest. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible over the north and east Kimberley.
Mostly sunny in the Northern Territory apart from isolated showers near the west coast and early morning fog patches above the coast.
Looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capital cities. Mostly sunny in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Perth, cloudy in Hobart and Adelaide, overcast 3 too in Perth and fine for Darwin.
