The Australian competition watchdog says a global auto 1 parts price-fixing cartel has driven up the cost of cars locally. U.S. authority has thanked the ACCC for its part in breaking up the cartel which it says has cost U.S. consumers 50 billion dollars.The ACCC has launched proceedings 2 in Australia against Japanese subsidiary Yazaki which it alleges 3 increased the price of Toyota parts and several other companies are under investigation 4.
