贵州煤矿事故致11人死亡 国防部:中国军队继续深入推进反腐败工作
A coal mine explosion in the southwestern Chinese province of Guizhou has left 11 people dead.
The deadly blast comes on the heels of this week's deadly fire at a coal mine in Liaoning which has left 26 people dead.
The explosion in Guizhou ripped through a privately-owned mine in Pan County, which is located in the far-west of the province.
A total of 19 people were working underground at the time.
Six of the survivors 1 are said to be suffering from serious injuries.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation 2.
China's Defense 3 Ministry 4 says it's pushing ahead with a crackdown on corruption 6 in the military.
A spokesperson for the Defense Ministry made the comments in response to reports a number of generals have been caught-up in the current corruption crackdown.
The spokesmane stresses that the PLA has zero tolerance 7 for corrupt 5 officials.
There have been several high profile corruption cases being unveiled within the PLA recently, including a bribery 8 investigation into Xu Caihou, former vice 9 chair of the Central Military Commission.
