The Chinese government is working on imposing 1 a ban on all forms of tobacco advertising 2, sponsorship and promotion 3 of tobacco products.
There are also plans to ban certain smoking scenes in films and TV shows.
As part of the draft regulation by the State Council, smoking in various indoor places will be banned.
Smoking in outdoor spaces will only be allowed in certain designated areas.
The draft is now being put forward for public consultation 4.
Two operators are dead following a landslide 5 which derailed their train in Shaanxi.
The slide rolled over the tracks yesterday afternoon, sending the freight train off the rails in the city of Ankang.
The train then plunged 6 into the Han River.
Heavy rains at the time are being blamed for the slide.
A new deadline has been set for the completion of an Iranian nuclear deal.
