Chinese President Xi Jinping says the country will accelerate the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime 1 Silk Road.
Xi Jinping says the country should prepare timetables and road maps for the One Road and One Belt project.
He also calls for strengthened cooperation between the countries involved.
President Xi says China will help countries along the Road and the Belt with the construction of infrastructure 2 including transportation, electricity, and telecommunications.
The ongoing 3 APEC meetings will include a statement against corruption 4 in its outcome documents.
Alan Bollard, executive director of the APEC Secretariat, says the Beijing Statement on corruption has been proposed by the leaders of both China and the United States.
Bollard says the statement will result in the establishment of a group "which could get enforcement agencies together across the APEC region and allow them to pass on information to each other in the particular cases."
He notes the arrangement is necessary to track cases across borders within the APEC region.
