China and Zimbabwe are promising 1 broader cooperation with one-another.
The pledge has been made amid talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and visiting Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe here in Beijing.
Xi Jinping also says China is willing to take part in the construction of economic and industrial zones and promote cooperation in infrastructure 2 construction, mining and manufacturing in Zimbabwe.
He also says he's going to encourage more Chinese companies to invest in the southern African country.
For his part, Robert Mugabe says Zimbabwe hopes to continue its relationship with China.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has dissolved parliament and called for new elections on October 26.
Poroshenko says many of the current MPs are backers of both ousted 3 president Viktor Yanukovych and the separatists in the east of the country.
He called the 2012 election neither fair nor democratic.
Meanwhile, leaders from Russia, Ukraine and the European Union are set to meet in the Belarusian capital of Minsk later on this Tuesday.
Poroshenko is expected to meet directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the talks.
