China's Defense 1 Ministry 2 is pointing the finger at the United States as being responsible for a series of close encounters between Chinese and US jets along China's coastline.
At the same time, the China's Defense Ministry is urging the United States to reduce and ultimately stop such close-in reconnaissance flights.
The new comments follow a close encounter this past week between a Chinese fighter jet and a US Navy reconnaissance plane about 220 kilometers off the Southern of China's coastline near Hainan Island.
NATO says it has satellite imagery showing Russian combat forces are now engaged in military operations inside Ukraine.
NATO Brigadier General Nico Tak says more than a thousand Russian troops are operating inside Ukraine.
Moscow has consistently denied any involvement in eastern Ukraine.
At the same time, the UN Security Council is now holding an emergency meeting in New York to discuss the crisis.
Tthe European Union is set to meet tomorrow to discuss further sanctions against Russia.
