At some point, everything is gonna go south on you. Now you can either 1 accept 2 that or you can get to work. That's all it is.

1.go south on sb./sth. expression 3. 情况糟糕/对着干
英语中很多常用词汇的意义随着时代的变迁不断地发生着变化，go south就是其中一例。
看到It's gone south，你可能会脱口而出是“去南方啊”！但是实际上很多情况下已经没有以上的意思了，而是变为了“情况越来越糟糕”的意思。
下面我们来看一个句子：Ice cream 4 sales 5 go south since 6 it is nearly 7 winter.(这里是指销量下降)。
当我们使用to go south/to head south的比喻义时，其表达的意思是"下降，变坏；数量、质量或价值的减少"。这里值得注意的是，我们要将to go south与to go to the south/to go down to the south区分开来

2.either or
用于连接两个表示选择关系的名词或代词，意为“要么……要么”。如：

就近原则：

3.get to do
get to do往往暗示一个较长的过程，含有“渐渐开始”之意，
I really wanted to get to know America. 我真想逐渐了解美国。
He is getting to be a lovely kid 10. 他慢慢变成一个可爱的孩子了。
