  Did you know that most people form their opinion about you within the first seven seconds of meeting you? Seven seconds isn't a lot of time.
  While it is possible for people to change their minds later.
  Here are five tips to make sure the first impression you give is a positive one.
  Tip 1.Arrive On Time People are busy; they don't like to wait.
  If you waste their time by making them wait to see you, they will have a negative opinion(负面意见) of you before they even meet you.
  Tip2.Look Presentable(像样的) Show up looking like you rolled out of bed(刚从床上爬起来) and no one will take you seriously.
  Instead, dress up(打扮) a little, without appearing overdressed(穿着过于讲究的).
  Shower and make sure your clothes, shoes and glasses are all dirt, stain(污点) and tear(破洞)-free.
  Tip3.Use a Firm Handshake 1 Handshakes 2 may be old-fashioned(过时的), but they are still incredibly important.
  A good handshake should be firm and confident. It should consist of two pumps(抽水机,打气筒), and it should last no more than one to three seconds.
  Tip4.Be Prepared If someone else is taking time out of their busy day to meet with you, the last thing you will want to do is to waste their time.
  Instead, you want to be fully 3 prepared(充分的准备) for the meeting.
  Tip5.Smile! Lastly, no matter how nervous you are about your big meeting, don't let it show.
  Keep a smile on your face as much as possible.
  Smiling is a great way to not only put your own mind at ease 4(使不拘束,使安心), but also to help the other person feel at ease as well.
