T: Hi, I'd like a single room.
旅客：嗨，我要一间单人房。
R: Do you have a reservation?
接待员：您预订了吗？
T: No, I'm afraid not.
旅客：不，我没有。
R: Let me check if we have any vacancies 1... You're in luck. We have one single room available.
接待员：我看看我们是否还有空房间……您真幸运，我们尚有一间单人房空着。
T: How much is it?
旅客：要多少钱？
R: $60 a night. No charge for local calls on the phone or for the TV, unless you decide to watch the pay-per-view channels．
接待员：一个晚上60元。打本地电话或看电视不用付钱，除非您决定看按节目收费的频道。
T: Okay, I'll take it. (to be continued)

= be lucky
be out of luck 运气不好
= be unlucky
例：We're in luck! There are still tickets available for the concert.
（我们运气真好！演唱会的票还有剩。）

注意：
available通常置于名词后作后位修饰。
例：We have three rooms available.
（我们有3间空房间。）
Are you available this weekend? I want to treat you to dinner.
（你这个周末有空吗？我想请你吃晚饭。）

例：Mr. Chen is more interested in national affairs than local affairs.

n.一套(家具)；套房；随从人员
- She has a suite of rooms in the hotel.她在那家旅馆有一套房间。
- That is a nice suite of furniture.那套家具很不错。

- Her going on maternity leave will create a temporary vacancy.她休产假时将会有一个临时空缺。
