2015年CRI 中国公布首份毒品形势报告

The report covers four main areas, including drug abuse, where drugs are sourced, the trafficking of the drugs and the overall situation.

报告涵盖了四个重要方面，其中包括毒品滥用，毒品来源、毒品贩卖以及总体形势。

Liu Yuejin with the Ministry 1 of Public Security says drug abuse still remains 2 a serious problem in China.

公安部的刘跃进表示，毒品滥用仍然是中国存在的一个严重问题。

"First, the number of registered drug addicts 3 has been rising. By the end of 2014, over 2.9 million drug addicts have been registered, while the real number of those who have used narcotics 4 has exceeded 14 million. About half of those addicted 5 are addicted to synthetic 6 drugs. Secondly 7, drug users are becoming younger. Over half of the addicts registered are under the age of 35. The demographic is expanding to include employees of public institutions, freelancers 8 and entertainers. Thirdly, 49-thousand drug addicts died last year."

“第一，国内登记在册的吸毒人员人数不断上升。截至2014年底，全国累计发现、登记吸毒人员295.5万名，而实际吸毒人数超过1400万。其中半数以上沉迷于合成毒品。其次，吸毒人员正在年轻化。登记在册吸毒人员中半数以上是35岁以下人员。吸毒人群向公共机构员工、自由职业者、娱乐区人士等人群扩散。第三，去年有4.9万名吸毒人员死亡。”

Liu Yuejin also says the use of illegal drugs has cost the economy over 80-billion U.S. dollars this past year.

刘跃进还表示，去年吸毒给中国经济造成了超过800亿美元的损失。

When it comes to the sources for drugs, Liu says areas south of China are still the main source.

谈到毒品来源时，刘跃进表示，中国南方地区仍然是主要来源。

"The drug producing areas abroad mainly include the Golden Triangle in Southeast Asia, which remains the largest drug source for China's traffickers, especially when it comes to heroin 9 and methamphetamine (me-tham-'fe-ta-meen). The so-called Golden Crescent in Central Asia, as well as some sources in South America, are other areas where drugs arrive from in China. Domestically, the main sources for producing methamphetamine and ketamine ('kee-ta-meen) are in Sichuan and Guangdong."

“境外毒品生产地主要包括东南亚的金三角地区，这里仍然是中国贩毒人员最大的毒品来源，特别是海洛因和冰毒片剂的主要来源。中亚地区所谓的金新月地区以及南美一些渠道是我国毒品的其它来源地区。在国内方面，四川和广东是冰毒晶体和氯胺酮的主要生产源头。”

The report says China captured 169,000 drug crime suspects last year, 60 percent of whom were under the age of 35.

报告称中国去年抓获了16.9万名毒品犯罪嫌疑人，其中60%年龄在35岁以下。

Over a thousand foreigners were also busted 10 in China last year in cases connected to drugs.

去年中国还抓获了涉嫌毒品案件的外国人逾千人。

They hailed from 44 different countries mostly in areas such as West Africa, South America and Southeast Asia.

他们分别来自44个不同国家，主要集中在西非、南美、东南亚等地区。

Liu Yuejin with the Ministry of Public Security says they're now working with law enforcement in other countries to try to stem the tide of drugs entering the country.

中国公安部的刘跃进表示，目前他们正同其它国家的执法人员合作，全力阻止毒品进入该国。

"First, we'll enhance cooperation with countries located near the Golden Triangle in Southeast Asia, since it's the most threatening and dangerous source for drugs to China. Secondly, we'll also strengthen cooperation with relevant countries like Russia, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan to deal with the Golden Crescent in Central Asia, especially through the platform of Shanghai Cooperation Organization."

“首先我们将会加强和东南亚金三角地区附近国家的合作，因为它是中国毒品最具威胁的来源。其次，我们还将加强同俄罗斯、巴基斯坦、伊朗以及阿富汗等相关国家的合作，特别是通过上海合作组织这个平台，来处理中亚金新月地区的毒品问题。”

The most recent stats suggest there are around 200-million drug users world-wide.

最新统计表明目前大约有2亿名吸毒者散布在世界各地。
