Chinese Premier 1 Li Keqiang is urging auditing 2 authorities to be more strict when overseeing the use of public funds, and safeguard the interests of the public.
He says audit 3 authorities must wield 4 their power righteously and they should not allow public funds to remain idle on the books, nor should they turn the other cheek to corruption 5.
When meeting with prominent auditing personnel from across the country, the Chinese premier also urged auditors 6 to keep an eye out for violations 7 and the misuse 8 of public funds.
China's top political advisor 9 Yu Zhengsheng has met with Vietnamese officials in Hanoi and vowed 10 to promote bilateral 11 ties.
Yu is in Hanoi for a three-day visit to enhance mutual 12 trust and build consensus 13.
He called on both sides to implement 14 the consensus reached between their leaders regarding maritime 15 issues, and properly settle their differences.
