3.The British government has unveiled a second bailout plan for its ailing 6 banks. It's aimed at protecting them from bad assets in an effort to boost lending. The first bailout worth about 55 billion dollars has not spurred enough lending. It is unclear how much this new plan will cost.


4.The matchup is now set for Super Bowl XLIII(43). The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Arizona Cardinals 7 on February 1st in Tampa. Arizona will be playing in its first Super Bowl while the Steelers will be trying to become the first NFL franchise 8 to win six Super Bowls.
