1. Congressional leaders will head back to the White House tomorrow. They try to work out a deal to raise the debt ceiling and cut federal spending. President Obama says he’ll reject any short-term solution to the problem.
2. A massive dust storm swept into the Phoenix 1 area last night, drastically reducing visibility across much of the valley. A local TV station reports the dust storm was roughly 50 miles wide. Flights of the Phoenix air port were grounded for about an hour.
3. The Coast Guard says the search will continue for 7 Americans missing off the coast of Mexico. Their fishing boat capsized on Sunday. The entire crew and 19 others were rescued. Rescuers have found only debris 2 since.
4. And some extra baggage for a woman leaving a Mexican prison. The 19-year-old tried to sneak 3 her husband out in a suitcase. Authorities become suspicious when the woman appeared nervous while wheeling the bulky suitcase.
