Taking a look at the satellite, and we can see a fair bit monsoon 1 trough in a tropical low is generating heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms over Northern Australia. A front is also producing heavy showers over South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania. And associated low pressure trough is maintaining thundery showers over New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland.
Around the states, in Queensland, a potential tropical cyclone 2 in the north. Showers over most of the state. Heavier in the west.
Rain in most of the state, heaviest in the north and west. Light showers in the northeast and northwest.
In Victoria, a cooler day with rain throughout central and eastern parts. It will be clearer in the far west.
In Tasmania, rain throughout. It will be heaviest in the east and south.
To South Australia, a chance of showers and storms along the coast. Cooler throughout except for the northeast.
In Western Australia, thunderstorms in the north from eastern interior. Clearer and warm in the south.
And in the Northern Territory, a potential low cyclone over the gulf 3 of / interiors. Expected hot stormy in the south.
And looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capitals. In Brisbane, very warm with a chance of shower. Thunderstorms in Darwin. Hot and sunny in Perth. Sunny and warm in Adelaide. And cooler with showers in Melbourne, Sydney and Hobart.
