[02:17.51]"That's funny!"said Dr Baker to himself,looking at the invitation.

[02:23.75]"An invitation to the 1996...Medical Conference in London.

[02:30.60]They don't usually invite me."

[02:34.64]He looked at his diary and found that he would be free that week.

[02:40.21]He decided 4 to attend the meeting though he was still a bit surprised.

[02:50.32]Dr Baker replied to the invitation,accepting it.

[03:48.75]I'm afraid her plane will be very late because of bad weather at the airport.

[05:42.07]"There must be some mistake."said Dr Baker

[05:46.75]He told the organizer that he had been surprised

[05:51.79]to receive an invitation to the conference but had decided to accept it.

[05:58.64]They went to the organizer's office and there they discovered the mistake

[06:04.80]The organizer had put Dr P Baker's name on title list of speakers,

[06:11.64]but when the invitation list was being done,

[06:16.32]someone had made a careless mistake and had written 'Dr D Baker' instead.

[06:23.27]"Now I understand!"said Dr Baker.

[06:28.34]"Dr Peter Baker is an expert on DNA,and I'm an expert on ENT."


[06:36.28]"ENT?What does that stand for?"asked the organizer.

[06:42.13]"Illnesses of the ear,nose and throat.

[06:48.06]I'm doing research in ENT at Lincoln College in Tennessee."

[06:54.93]"But Dr Lively was going to talk on that very subject today.

[07:00.68]I suppose you could give a talk instead."

[07:05.74]"Sure.I'd be very happy to help.I've got my notes with me.

[07:12.09]Just tell me at what time you would like me to give my talk."

[07:18.05]Dr Baker gave a very good talk later that day

[07:23.69]and everyone at the conference was very interested.

[07:29.15]"You must come to our conference next year."said the organizer.
