There once was 5 a wolf walking in the forest 6.
从前，有一只狼在森林里走。
He was very hungry.
他非常饿。
He was looking for something to eat.
他在找东西吃。
Suddenly 7, the wolf fell 8 inside 9 a big, big hole.
突然，狼跌进了一个大大的洞里。
He tried to jump out of the hole.
他使劲往洞外跳。
He tried, and tried.
他跳啊跳，可是跳不出去。
But the wolf was stuck 10.
他被困在洞里了。
The wolf yelled 11, "Help!Help!"
狼喊道，“救命啊！救命啊！”
Along 12 came 13 a sheep, he stopped,
一只羊走了过来，他停下来往下看，
he looked down and he saw 14 the wolf.
他看到了狼。
The wolf said 15, "Please save 16 me, Mr. sheep!
狼说，“请救救我，羊先生！
Pull 3 me out of the hole!
"把我拉出洞去！”
The sheep said, "No way!
羊说，“没门！
If I save you, you will kill 17 me and eat me."
如果我救了你，你会杀了我，吃掉我。”
The wolf said, "No!
狼说，“不会的！
I promise 18, I will not kill you and eat you.
我发誓，我不会杀你吃。
Please save me, Mr. sheep."
请救救我吧，羊先生。”
So the sheep took 19 a rope.
于是，羊拿来一根绳子。
He put the rope in the hole.
他把绳子放进洞里。
Then the sheep pulled 20 and pulled.
然后，羊就拉呀拉。
The sheep pulled wolf up, up, up
羊把狼一点点向上拉，
until 21 the wolf was out of the deep 22 hole.
直到把狼从深洞里拉出来。
Suddenly, the wolf jumped up.
突然，那狼跳起来。
He said, "Now I will kill you and eat you."
他说，“现在我要咬死你，吃了你。”
The sheep said, "Please!
羊说，“求求你！
Don't kill me and eat me, Mr. wolf,
不要吃掉我，狼先生，
I helped you!"
我救了你！”
The wolf said, "Too bad!
狼说，“没用了！
You were stupid 23. You are a stupid, stupid sheep.
你这羊太傻，太傻了。
A wolf always kills 24 and eats stupid sheep."
狼总是杀傻羊吃。”
The sheep cried, the sheep said,
羊大哭起来，说，
"You tricked 25 me! Mr. wolf!"
“你骗了我！狼先生！”
Then the sheep yelled, "Help!Help!"
然后羊就大喊道，"救命啊！救命啊！"
Along came a monkey, he stopped.
这时，一只猴子走了过来，他停了下来。
He looked at the sheep and the wolf.
他看着羊和狼。
The sheep said, "Please! Save me, Mr. monkey!"
羊说，“请你救救我，猴先生！”
The sheep told the monkey that
羊告诉猴子说，
he had 26 pulled the wolf out of the deep hole.
他把狼从那深洞里拉了出来。
The wolf told the monkey what he did 27.
狼把他的所做所为也告诉了猴子。
The wolf said, "A wolf should eat a stupid sheep."
狼说，"狼应该吃傻羊。"
The sheep said, "Please! Mr. monkey!
羊说，“求求你，猴先生！
Can you be the judge?
你能当法官吗？
Tell us, who is right?"
告诉我们，谁是对的？”
The monkey said, "OK! I can be the judge.
猴子说，“好吧！我可以当你们的法官。
But I'm not sure what really happened.
可我不明白事情的真正过程。
Let's do it again.
所以，你们再做一遍。
So I can see what you did and what the wolf did.
好让我清楚你和狼到底都做了什么。
Then I can choose who is right."
然后，我才能确定谁对谁错。”
So the wolf jumped back in the hole.
于是，狼跳回洞里。
The sheep took a rope.
羊拿起一根绳子。
He put the rope in the hole.
他把绳子放到洞里。
The sheep started to pull the wolf out of the hole.
羊开始把狼往洞外拉。
The monkey yelled,
猴子喊道，
"Stop! Stop! Don't save the wolf!
“停下！停下！不要救狼！
The wolf is ungrateful.
狼是忘恩负义的东西。
You did what he asked, and he tricked you.
你做了他求你的事，可是他欺骗了你。
Leave him inside the hole.
让他呆在洞里好了。
The hunter 28 will come and kill him."
猎人会来杀死他的。”
So once again the wolf was stuck inside the big, big hole.
于是，狼又一次被困在了那个大大的洞里。
The sheep went home.
羊回家了。
The monkey went home.
猴子回家了。
They lived happily 29 ever 30 after.
他们从此幸福地生活着。
