Hi, to the students of Brown middle school. Hello to all of our viewers around the world. Broadcasting from the CNN news room, I am Carol Luzus.

Our first story today takes to Egypt. The north Africa nation is dealing 1 with violence worse than it has seen in month. Dozens of people were killed over the weekend. Hundreds more were injured. All of this happened in fighting between army forces and Coptic Christians 3. This is an ancient branch of Christian 2 entity 4. Its members make up about nine percent of Egypt’s population. Coptic Christians and Ma*** who support them have been holding protest like this one. They are demanding that Egyptian military offer equal protection for their places of worship. Egypt pre-minister wants to investigate what started the fighting over the weekend. He said the violence has brought the country back to level of tension it had before its political revolution earlier this year. Pre-minister said quote instead of getting forward we found ourselves scrambling 5 for security.

Parts of Mexico are bracing 6 for a hurricane that is expected to make a landfall today. Hova is the name of the storm with baring down on Mexico’s west coast yesterday, and it has strengthened into a category three hurricane. Some experts thought this thing might get stronger before hits land. So emergency officials were rushing to get ready before the storm. They opened shelters, they distributed food and supplies. Here that the Hova is expected to hit is a vacation spot. A lot of tourists have cleared out that had a potential danger. Authorities have warned boaters to watch out for heavy rain, wind and waves.
Today shout out goes out to meet Toijala’s global issues class at Lakeland Union High School and ***. A fleet refers to a group of what? You know what to do? Is it a bison, ships, pumpkins 7 or trees. You got three seconds, go. A fleet is a group of ships, usually under the same command. That is our answer, you shout out.
And a fleet week is a celebration that honors the US militaries’ nautical 8 services. The event takes place in different cities. And San Francisco fleet week just rapped up. It included the parade of ships, military vessels 9 sailed under the Gold Gate Bridge and in the San Francisco bay this year’s fleet week also made spectators look up. That is because the big scene is the one hundred birthday of naval 10 aviation. And shows like this one, this is awesome 11, look at this. The navy’s blue angle of flight team. Wow, the crowds came out to the event. People also had the opportunity to take tours no some of the ships that are part of the fleet week. This is the thirtieth year of San Francisco had host the event.
The occupy War Street movement started on line. Website asked people to flood New York financial district for a few month. Now the grassroots campaign has expanded from protest in different cities and in college campuses. There are a lot of different ideas what exactly people are protesting. Mary Slow talks with a few focus why they are there.
