Our first story today takes to Egypt. The north Africa nation is dealing 1 with violence worse than it has seen in month. Dozens of people were killed over the weekend. Hundreds more were injured. All of this happened in fighting between army forces and Coptic Christians 3. This is an ancient branch of Christian 2 entity 4. Its members make up about nine percent of Egypt’s population. Coptic Christians and Ma*** who support them have been holding protest like this one. They are demanding that Egyptian military offer equal protection for their places of worship. Egypt pre-minister wants to investigate what started the fighting over the weekend. He said the violence has brought the country back to level of tension it had before its political revolution earlier this year. Pre-minister said quote instead of getting forward we found ourselves scrambling 5 for security.
Parts of Mexico are bracing 6 for a hurricane that is expected to make a landfall today. Hova is the name of the storm with baring down on Mexico’s west coast yesterday, and it has strengthened into a category three hurricane. Some experts thought this thing might get stronger before hits land. So emergency officials were rushing to get ready before the storm. They opened shelters, they distributed food and supplies. Here that the Hova is expected to hit is a vacation spot. A lot of tourists have cleared out that had a potential danger. Authorities have warned boaters to watch out for heavy rain, wind and waves.
