More than a thousand Syrian refugees have crossed the border from Syria just in the last 24 hours,but Turkish borders will remain open.That is a sign that other Syrians can come here to take a safety, find a safe haven 3 from the ongoing 4 violence in Syria that has claimed lives of more than 1,000 people in the last two and half months,and resulted in the detention 5 of more than 10,000.
We also talked about the rapidly evolving situation in Yemen. We continue to urge all sides to honor the ceasefire, and we support an immediate 6, orderly, and peaceful transition consistent with Yemen's constitution. Violence is not the way forward,and Yemen's instability is a challenge for us all. The Yemeni people need a government that addresses their needs and aspirations
