President Obama speaks to members of the AFOCIO this hour in Ohio. He is expected to announce his new senior advisor 2 for manufactory policy during his remarks. Meantime, Mr. Obama's speech to school kids tomorrow will be nothing more than a pat talk. And that is from Education Secretary Arne Duncan. The text of the speech was posted on the White House website last hour.
Job or no job? Millions of us will have a labored 3 Labor Day, while the unemployment rate creeping towards 10%. Crews are working as fast as they can to fix a crack in the San Fransisco Oklan Bay Bridge by tomorrow morning. The crack was discovered in the 73-year old bridge Saturday when workers were replacing a portion of it with a new double-deck section. The damage link is two-inch's thick and was cracked tough with a through.
Some Massachusetts's beaches are closed today after two great white sharks were spotted 4 at Cape 5 Cod 6 of the weekend. The sharks are rare in New Engliand. But the sharks are, as reported of, as many as five, about a mile from swimming area to red-tag, so scientists can track them.
