French officials dispatched a military unit to secure the crash site in northern Mali, where the Air Algerie plane crashed killing 5 116 people on board on Thursday.
France’s interior minister said Friday that terrorism cannot be ruled out as a cause of the tragedy, although it seems more likely that bad weather caused the crash. President Hollande said the recovered black box was found in Mali’s Gossi region, and has been taken to the northern Mali city of Gao.
