[00:11.71]On May 4th 1699,

[00:15.16]I left England for the South Seas

[00:18.18]on a ship that was called the 'Antelope 1'.

[00:21.94]For the first six months of our trip,

[00:24.54]everything went well

[00:26.82]but then the weather turned bad;

[00:28.96]there was a terrible storm

[00:30.93]that lasted several days.

[00:33.40]The ship was blown off course.

[00:36.47]We did not know where we were

[00:39.29]and the sailors 3 became tired,hungry and sick.

[00:44.23]Twelve of them died.

[00:47.08]On November 5th,

[00:48.71]some of the sailors saw a rock sticking

[00:51.30]out of the sea.

[00:53.01]They tried to sail 2 away from the rock

[00:56.11]but the wind was so strong that the ship

[01:01.65]The rock split 4 the boat into two pieces.

[01:08.74]and we all tried to get into the boats

[01:12.63]Five sailors and I managed to get into

[01:18.99]from the ship as quickly as we could.

[01:22.25]However, the strong wind and waves soon

[01:25.52]overturned boat.

[01:28.09]I didn't know what happened to the sailors

[01:31.08]but I swam for hours ans hours.

[01:34.50]I kept letting my legs drop to see

[01:37.03]if I could touch the bottom 5 of the sea.

[01:40.06]After several hours,

[01:42.08]I could finally fell land beneath 6 my feet.
