One Direction, the global pop music sensation that has put boy bands back on the map, is now moving in a new direction- onto the big screen.
“One Direction: This Is Us” promises to give their millions of fans new insights into the most popular group in the world, while showing the band touring in Japan and many other countries. The 3D movie will be released in the U.S. in late August, and then to the rest of the world soon after.
Since starting out in 2010, One Direction has already sold over 12 million albums, and has gotten half a billion YouTube hits for their videos. Harry 1 Styles, the group’s most popular singer, has over 14,000,000 twitter followers 2 alone! So given how they've dominated every other form of media on the planet, perhaps it is only natural that they take over movies next.
