It’s jumping in with both feet, you have to be very brave, and youhave to try and do something that you think will make you stand out,and also show your range and it’s a really difficult thing to get right. If an actor wants to get some work, then he or she must have an agent. And here is Barry Burnett, agent to some very well known TV stars in the UK. What could he do for someone new to the business? First of all I would make sure that you have the right photographs. Photographs are very important tools of the trade. I mean if a part comes up, if I receive a part that I think you would be right for, and I've got the right photograph, I'll send it off and hopefully persuade the casting director to meet you for this particular part.
