1994. An attacker clubs figure skater Nancy Kerrigan on her right leg, among the men later sentenced to prison, the ex-husband of Kerrigan’s rival Tonya Harding.
And 1993. The world loses two artistic 3 greats. Jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, dies at age 75. And ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev, dies at age 54.
