　　唯有美食与爱不可辜负。说到美食，你会想到什么?中餐?西餐?还是韩餐，日餐?最先在你脑海中浮现的是哪道菜?本期我们就来说说和美食相关的口语表达。从厨艺开始探讨。

　　1. cook

　　Notes:首先，关于做饭就有很多种表达方式，以上都是做菜/饭的意思。“cook”除了做动词，表示“做菜，烹饪”，还可以做名词，表示“厨师”。那么，问题来了：你会做饭吗?你的厨艺如何?请看例句：
　　I love cooking, also very handy at cooking.
　　我喜欢并且非常擅长做饭。
　　It’s my turn to cook dinner, but I’m a terrible cook. Can you help me prepare dishes?
　　该我做饭了，但我厨艺很差。你能帮我准备饭菜吗?
　　短语“handy at”表示“擅长某件事”。厨艺好除了“good/handy at cooking”还可以用“a good cook”等方式表达;类似的，厨艺差可以用“lousy at cooking”“a bad/terrible cook”等表达方式。

　　Notes:烹饪方式可谓多种多样。你喜欢哪一种呢?下面分别用菜名来举例：
　　I had some burgers and French fries tonight.
　　今晚我吃了汉堡和炸薯条。
　　He fries beef steaks very well.
　　他很会煎牛排。
　　普及一下，牛排一般说beef steak，羊排一般是lamb chop，猪排是pork chop。
　　Those steamed buns smell good.
　　那些蒸馒头闻起来很香。
　　Roast fish is their specialty 2.
　　烤鱼是他们店的特色。
　　She eats one boiled egg every morning.
　　她每天早上都会吃一个白煮蛋。
　　This smoked fish is spicy 3.
　　这条熏鱼好辣。
　　My favourite dish is braised beef with potatoes.
　　我最爱吃的菜是土豆炖牛肉。
　　She bought a pot to stew beef.
　　她买了新锅焖牛肉。
　　I never eat salted fish.

　　3. nice/savory/delicious/tasty/yummy

　　disgusting/terrible/awful (food)

　　flavorful/flavorless
　　美味的/没有味道的
　　Notes:如何说一道菜很好吃或者很难吃呢?相信大家都有在餐馆里吃到美味的和难吃的菜的经历。以上列举了一些意义相反的形容词。其中，“yummy”是非正式用法，比较适合小盆友;savory还有名词意义，指“开胃菜”;flavorless偏向于美式用法。看看例句吧!

　　那儿的菜很好吃。
　　Her birthday cake is really yummy.
　　她的生日蛋糕真的很好吃。
　　I’ll never go to that restaurant again. There food is disgusting/terrible/awful.

　　The dish is flavorless.
