The European Union will delay in acting 2 new sanctions against Russia in connection with its actions in Eastern Ukraine. Terry Shaw reports from Brussels.
EU council president Herman Van Rompuy says a new packet of sanction has been adopted but the implementation 3 will be put off for a few days. The stiffen 4 sanctions including financial restrictions 5 on Russian top energy suppliers were to be adopted early Monday and implemented 6 Tuesday. But it’s the last minute some member states voice opposition 7 to moving forward immediately before it’s entirely 8 clear whether the tentative ceasefire agreed to on Friday between the Ukrainian government and pro-Russian separatists for whole. The Kremlin says if they pounce 9 this going to offend of course there will be retaliation 10. Former Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev says that could include closing Russian airspace to EU flights.

According to White House, President Obama wants Congress to inject more money into account of terrorism fund with the missionary 11 will be trained in other countries to fight extremist groups like Islamist state.
