1. The White House and the Senate's top Democrat 1 are making it clear, new gun legislation won't be on the political agenda this year. White House spokesman Jay Carney says there are other things that can be done, short of legislation to reduce violence in the society.
2. A judge overseeing the criminal case against the suspect in last week's deadly theater shooting has ordered the University of Colorado not to release his school records. Authorities say former neuroscience graduate student James Holmes killed 12 people and injured 58 at a midnight showing of the new Batman movie.
3. It's been one of the biggest mysteries of Penn State scandal. The identity of victim number two, the boy who was seen being sexually assaulted in the showers by Jerry Sandusky. His name hasn't been released. But the man is now threatening to sue the university.
4. North Korean Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol Ju seem to be settling into their new roles as husband and wife. According to state media, the couple was greeted with laud 2 cheers as they visited a newly opened amusement park.
