1. The Gulf 1 Coast is getting ready for Wednesday's possible arrival of Isaac. Isaac is expected to grow to a Category 2 hurricane. The governors of Mississippi and Louisiana have declared states of emergency.
2. Republican National Committee officials have released a tightened 3 three-day schedule for the party's national convention in Tampa, Florida. This after postponing 4 most of Monday's events because of Tropical Storm Isaac. Presidential candidate Mitt 2 Romney and vice 5 presidential candidate Paul Ryan will both be nominated Tuesday.
3. Protesters have arrived in Tampa for the republican national convention. But it's unlikely they'll cross paths with the GOP. Demonstrators are being kept blocks away.
