New York senators had asked the Libyan transitional government on August 22nd to hold Abdel-Baset al-Megrahi accountable for the bombing of Pan Am flight 103, which killed 270 people. But the government responded that al-Megrahi has already been tried and convicted.
4. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell is accusing former Vice 5 President Dick Cheney of taking cheap shots at him and others in his new book. Cheney writes that Powell tried to undermine President Bush by criticizing administration policy to people outside the government. Cheney's book “In My Time” is set for release Tuesday.
