Paula: I was in Istanbul once…Part this group tour…and I thought I’d try to find a restaurant and eat dinner alone for a change. So I walked out of the hotel by myself. I was looking around at all the restaurants and I couldn’t decide which one to go to. And this little Turkish man comes up to me and he says, “My nephew has a good restaurant. Come with me.” So I decided 6 to follow him. And we went down these little streets… and back…and it was getting dark… back alleys 7, and I didn’t know what was going on. People were starting to stare at me. And I got really scared. And I thought, “I’d just better leave.” So I was going to run. And then suddenly we rounded the corner and there we were at the restaurant. And it ended up being the best Turkish food I had the whole time I traveled. And ever since then, I haven’t been so afraid to take chances.
