Severe tropical cyclone 1 Lua is causing rain and strong winds for northern WA as it nears the coast.A monsoon 2 trough and tropical low are triggering heavy showers and storms elsewhere in the tropics.While a trough is generating a rain and storms in New South Wales and Queensland.
In Queensland,scattered 3 showers and isolated 4 storms over the southern and central interior.Monsoonal 5 showers for the northern tropics with heavy falls on the coast.
Showers and storms about eastern and northern parts of New South Wales.Mostly clear in the south-west of the state.
In Victoria,showers and storms in the east.Mostly dry and cool for the central and western parts of the state.
Scattered showers about the west and far south of Tasmania.Fine elsewhere.
Mostly dry and sunny in South Australia,apart from isolated early fall patches in the south-east.A few afternoon showers in the north east of the state.
In Western Australia,heavy rain and storms in the Kimberley and Pibara region,gale falls winds affecting the north west of the state.
And showers and storms in the top end,cloudy with ares of light rain elsewhere in the south.
And looking ahead to tomorrow.
A shower or two for Sydney.Mostly sunny in Melbourne and Hobart.A few showers are expected in Brisbane.Cloudy and hot in Perth.Warm and sunny in Adelaide and Canberra and monsoonal rains in Darwin.
