Jordan’s Queen Rania is a very modern monarch 1. She has worked for companies like Citibank and Apple Computer and appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show. She also uses YouTube to help people around the world understand more about the Arab world. She became a Jordanian royal after marrying King Abdullah bin 2 Al-Hussein in June 1993, six months after they met.

She is frequently in the Forbes magazine list of the 100 most powerful women in the world. Being an honorary colonel of the Jordanian Armed Forces might help keep her there.
