When you are in a foreign country, thesubject of nationalities naturally comes up a lot. It’d be nice if there were asimple rule that said all the words using nationalities are stressed on thefirst word. There isn’t, of course. Take this preliminary quiz to see if youneed to do the exercise. For simplicity 1 sake, we will stick with onenationality, American.
