And 2004, “We wait a long time for this, and in ball time it’s cleared, well-deserved, go Red Sox, 2004 World Series champion. ” A baseball curse’s finally broken as the Boston Red Sox win their first World Series since 1918. They sweep the St. Louise Cardinals 6 with a 3-0 shut-out in game 4.
