1927Isadore Duncan, the modern dance pioneer dies in an accident in Nice, France. She is killed when her scarf becomes entangled 4 in a wheel of her sports car.
And 1994"It's not a very happy set of circumstances for man. After all, we are in the baseball business."Baseball's acting 5 commissioner 6 Bud Selig cancels the rest of the season due to a player's strike. That includes the World Series, the first October without that game in nearly 90 years.
