Mexico Looks Forward to Closer Cooperation with China

Mexican Senate President Ernesto Cordero says Mexico should strengthen cooperation with China ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit to the country.
It is the first state visit since Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto took office.
Cordero says there is great potential for development and cooperation between the two countries.
"We hope there would be more Mexican products exported to China and more Chinese products to Mexico. I'm looking forward to listening to his speech. I think his speech would send an important signal to not only Mexico, but also the whole Latin America."
The two sides are expected to sign a series of economic and trade agreements and issue a joint 1 statement on further development of bilateral 2 ties.
