Learn Vocabulary 12 from the lesson
in two weeks
I'm going home in two weeks.
If something will happen two weeks in the future 13, or 14 days from now, it will happen 'in two weeks.' Notice 14 the following 15:
I'm coming for a visit in two weeks
We move to our new apartment 16 in two weeks.
enjoyed the time
Have you enjoyed your time in Japan?
If you 'enjoy the time' somewhere 17 or doing something it means 18 that you have fun doing it or it was 19 a good experience 20. Notice the following:
I am actually enjoying this time doing nothing.
He enjoyed the time he worked at the fair 21.
looking forward
I'm looking forward to going home.
When we are excited about something that will happen in the future we can say that we are 'looking forward to' it. Notice the following:
Are you looking forward to your summer vacation 22?
My son is really looking forward to his birthday party next Saturday.
at the moment
It is very cold at the moment here in Japan.
'At the moment' talks about right now or in the moment of speaking. Notice the following:
I'm on my way to the bank at the moment.
He's not home at the moment.
average
The average temperature is around 26 degrees.
In this case 'average' is similar 23 to 'normal 24.' You can get a mathematical 25 average by adding number together and then dividing 26 them by the number of numbers you have added 27 together. This shows that sometimes it's warmer than 26 degrees and sometimes colder, but the average of these temperatures 28 is 26 degrees. Notice the following:
Each class has an average of 22 students.
He does an average of 55 hours of work a week.
Anili: Oh, I'm fine.
Gabrielle: Good! Hey, I love your scarf!
Anili: Oh, my scarf!
Gabrielle: Yeah, where did 1 you get it?
Anili: Oh, I bought this scarf in Sydney.
