O Town

从ABC电视台《打造乐团》节目1800位新秀中脱颖而出的Ashley、Erik、Dan、Travor与Jacob五个男孩组成了O-Town。在经过了三个月的训练后，他们被曾经棒红惠特妮休斯顿、桑塔那的传奇音乐人克里夫戴维斯相中，成为他新成立的J唱片旗下的首支组合。 从挑歌的偏好可以反应出他们的个人风格：Jacob喜欢重摇滚，Travor热爱流行，Dan喜爱节奏蓝调与嘻哈，Ashley偏爱另类摇滚，而Erik则是灵魂美声的忠实追随者。也因此，O-Town的首张同名专辑《O-Town》可以说是集上述曲风之大成的多样化作品。2000年底率先发表的首支前10名排行劲曲"Liquid Dream”节奏强烈、和声繁复且旋律极富感染力；今年5月份推出的抒情曲"All Or Nothing”同样迅速进占节奏蓝调榜第9名；"We Fit Together”是电影《怪医杜立德2》的插曲；"Love Should Be A Crime”摇滚风味十足，被滚石杂志形容为Oasis与Bon Jovi的音乐综合体；"Take Me Under”则沾染了70年代的放克色彩、"Every Six Seconds”洋溢着灵魂情调，而由黛安华伦谱写的"Baby I Would”展现了男孩们令人惊艳的美声唱腔。
